Frequently Asked Questions

Can I drink alcohol on board the Scottsdale Party Bikes?2025-06-14T02:59:33-06:00

You may have adult beverages on board the party bikes! However, due to our local licensing requirements we cannot have any outside alcohol on the premises.

We have a great selection of beer, wine, seltzers and more are available for purchase at our convenient on-site booze store!

Everything we sell is allowed to be brought on board the bike for consumption and comes ready with free coolers, ice, and cups. Any unopened drinks can be brought home with you at the end of the party!

Do we really have to pedal?!2025-06-14T03:28:54-06:00

Yes! And no. 🙂

We encourage you to pedal to make the bike move. It’s great for the environment and your calorie count.

The bike is also equipped with an electric motor to help the riders. It’s a lot easier than it looks! 🙂

Someone in my group can’t pedal. Can they still ride?2025-06-14T03:20:29-06:00

Our bikes have 10 pedaling seats and 4 non-pedaling seats, including a comfy back bench.

So if someone in your group can’t pedal or prefers to sit back and enjoy the ride without pedaling—no problem at all!

When should we arrive for our pedal bar tour?2025-06-14T03:03:01-06:00

Please plan to arrive at our location 30 minutes before your scheduled start time. This allows us to complete check-in, confirm waivers, help you purchase any party supplies or adult beverages you might need, review the rules, and get everyone loaded up so your party can start on time.

IMPORTANT: All waivers must be completed in advance. Failure to do so may delay your start time. [Click here to view and sign your waiver.]

Timing is critical: your reservation is valid only for the time slot you booked. We run our tours back-to-back, so if a private party starts late, it will still end at the scheduled time.

For public bar crawls, start and end times are fixed. We’re unable to delay departure out of fairness to guests who arrive on time. If you’re running late, we’ll do our best to help you catch up at the first bar stop—but please note that tickets are non-refundable.

What should we bring with us?2025-06-14T03:25:24-06:00

What to Bring

  • Pre-order your drinks and party supplies online for quick pick-up (Scottsdale only)

  • A valid ID – required for everyone consuming alcohol

  • Water to stay refreshed

  • Snacks, if you’d like a little something to munch on

  • Party decorations to make your ride pop

  • Most importantly, bring a great attitude and a sense of fun (the more absurd, the better!)

Don’t worry if you forget something—our on-site store has everything you need, so you can show up stress-free!

What Not to Bring

  • Outside alcohol or glass containers – they’re not permitted. We’ve got a full selection of beer, wine, seltzers, and more available on-site

  • Coolers, ice, or cups – we provide all of those for you, and we cannot store personal coolers overnight

Let us take care of the details—just show up ready to party!

Who drives the pedal bar?2025-06-14T03:05:44-06:00

No need to worry! Scottsdale Party Bikes will be driven by a trained, fun driver who’s there to keep the ride safe, legal, and a whole lot of fun. That way, your crew can relax and focus on what matters most: partying!

Should we tip the pedal bar driver?2025-06-14T03:24:15-06:00

Yes, please! Our Party Bike Captains work hard to make your experience unforgettable, and tips are a big part of how they earn.

You’ve got a few easy options:

  • Add a tip when booking online

  • Bring cash to tip your driver directly

  • Ask us to add a tip to the credit card on file after your ride

  • Many drivers also accept Venmo or other cashless apps

Tips are never required but always appreciated—especially for a ride well done!

Is there music on board?2017-01-13T17:28:43-06:00

Yes! We have a rocking sound system and LED lights for the perfect party ambiance. Our tablet that hooks up to the system is full of music from every genre with tons of songs and playlist options for you to choose. Make sure to bring a good DJ!

How many people can ride?2025-07-18T15:56:57-06:00

We can fit a maximum of 14 passengers on board one bike, but require a minimum of six people to pedal comfortably. Pub crawls and other public rides (based on individual tickets) are tentative until we have the minimum number of six riders.

If you have a group larger than 14 people, just reach out so we can book multiple bikes for you!

If you have fewer than six people in your group, we recommend being flexible with the time so that we can pair you up with other groups to reach the minimum needed! Individuals or groups that are too small to be confirmed MAY be bumped to another time in favor of a confirmed private party and we will notify you if that occurs. In that case, you will have the option of getting a refund or changing times.

Groups of six or more and private parties are confirmed automatically.

If your group is still pending, we will reach out in advance to see if we can match you up with another group. We will notify you 24 hours in advance if the reservation cannot be confirmed and will issue a refund if that is the case.

There are a total of 10 pedaling seats and 4 non-pedaling seats. So if you have someone in your group that can’t pedal, no problem!

Is there an age requirement?2025-06-14T03:23:34-06:00

For Pub Crawls and Public Tours:
All riders must be 21 or older for any tour booked by the seat that involves alcohol (like pub crawls).
A valid ID is required at check-in—no exceptions.

For Private Parties:
Guests under 21 are allowed, but there are a few important rules:

  • If alcohol is on board, minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is responsible for them

  • Underage guests may not consume alcohol and must wear a provided wristband

  • If the Captain suspects a minor has consumed alcohol, the tour will be immediately terminated with no refund

Children & Infants:

  • Infants or children who require a car seat are not permitted on the bike

  • Children under 12 may be asked to ride on the back bench with a seatbelt for safety

Where do we start and end?2025-06-14T03:08:48-06:00

In general, unless otherwise noted on your reservation, all parties begin at our location in Old Town Scottsdale. Pub crawls drop off at your third bar stop. Private parties may end at a spot of your choosing in Old Town Scottsdale.

Can my group sign the rider waiver in advance?2025-06-14T03:09:02-06:00

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR WAIVERS COMPLETED IN ADVANCE, OTHERWISE YOUR START TIME MAY BE DELAYED. Click here to view and sign the waiver. You may send this link to your party ahead of time so that they may complete their waivers, as well.

Upon completion, you will receive a verification email that your waiver is complete. Please have your photo ID ready at check-in to verify that your waiver has been completed.

Where can we take the pedal bar and how long is each stop?2025-06-14T03:09:18-06:00

Private parties can take the pedal bar to any stop that they want to go to in our operating area! If you have a few favorite bars, just let the driver know where to go. Want to try something new? Ask the driver for a recommendation! Most groups can make it to up to three stops with about 25 minutes at each stop.

Pub crawls with multiple groups on board have a set itinerary of three bar stops that cannot be changed.

Do I need a reservation to ride?2025-07-18T15:50:19-06:00

Yes! All rides are by reservation only, which you can make easily online or by giving us a call. We highly recommend booking in advance—weekend slots fill up fast!

For private group parties, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the card on file 14 days before your ride.

For events like pub crawls (booked by individual seat), full payment is due at the time of booking.

How long is the reservation?2025-06-14T03:11:42-06:00

Reservations are typically for two hour intervals unless otherwise specified or additional time is purchased. Time customization can sometimes be done with large company groups or Sunday – Thursday by request.

I didn’t receive an email after making my reservation. Help!2025-06-14T03:13:11-06:00

No worries! Just give us a call and let us know the name on the reservation so we can look it up, update the reservation on file, and send you the confirmation 🙂

My reservation email says “pending” or “on hold”. What does that mean?2025-07-18T15:51:24-06:00

If your reservation email says “Confirmed”, you’re all set—no further action is needed!

If your email says “Pending”, your reservation still needs something to be locked in:

  • It might be awaiting payment

  • Or your ride may not yet meet the minimum rider requirement of six passengers needed to confirm

Pending reservations are not confirmed until you receive a follow-up email stating your booking is officially confirmed.
If your group is still too small to confirm 24 hours prior to the tour, we will reach out to:

  • Help you switch to a different time, or

  • Offer a full refund

Tip: If you’re in a smaller group under six people, keeping your schedule flexible gives us the best chance of pairing you with others to make the ride happen!

What if my reservation is “On Hold”?

An “On Hold” email means you’re on the waitlist for a time slot that’s not currently available. We’ll typically reach out as soon as we see your reservation to see if you can move to another time slot.

We’ll also notify all guests with pending or on-hold reservations at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time to let you know whether your booking is confirmed.

Can I cancel or change my reservation?2025-06-14T03:22:20-06:00

Yes! You’re welcome to cancel or reschedule your ride up to 14 days before your reservation date by giving us a call or sending an email.

  • Cancel at least 14 days in advance for a full refund

  • Reschedule at least 14 days ahead, pending availability

After that 14-day mark, we’re unable to make changes or issue refunds. Any payments made will be forfeited, and remaining balances will still be charged.

Heads up: If you reschedule once, we aren’t able to reschedule or cancel a second time—so please be sure before locking in your new date!

If your group is reserving three or more bikes, a 50% non-refundable deposit per bike is required to hold the booking.

  • This deposit won’t be refunded if bikes are canceled

  • The remaining balance is due 14 days before your event, and is also non-refundable

We recommend finalizing your plans early to avoid any hiccups. We want your ride to be as smooth and fun as possible!

What is the weather policy?2025-07-18T15:52:45-06:00

We ride rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather—ponchos, jackets, or sunscreen might all come in handy depending on the forecast!

That said, your safety is our top priority. If there’s lightning, a monsoon, or other severe weather, we may need to cancel the ride for safety reasons. But don’t worry—you won’t be pedaling through a storm!

If we cancel due to severe weather, you’ll receive a 100% refund or a rain check for another date—your choice!

Note: Weather decisions are made as close to your scheduled start time as possible, since conditions can change quickly.

What should I wear?2025-06-14T03:19:39-06:00

We recommend dressing for the weather, so check the forecast before you head out!

For comfort and safety:

  • Closed-toed shoes are a great choice (though not required)

  • Avoid high heels or long, flowing dresses, which can be tricky while pedaling and getting on and off the bike

Come ready to have fun—and maybe do a little dancing, too!
